The Hilton was once the Melia, Spanish chain.
Masybe they sold out because there weren't planeloads of Spanish visitors?

TG (Thai) have now put on a flight from Madrid to Bangkok three times a week. It does a pit stop in Rome to load a few more Mediterranean types and some pasta.

Expect to see a few more Spanish visitors.
