Fantastic series so far for England! 1-0 up now. 3 to play. Superb all round performance, records galore.

Where have the mighty Aussies gone? No more McGrath and Warne to torment us! :thumb:

Crikey. I've been following the game on the internet and left for Imm about 8.20am. Just got back and checked to see how things were going and it's all over.
Great stuff!!

Eek! England collapsing!

The technology is pretty impressive. Virtual Eye, Hawkeye, stump cameras and so on. Can't understand why football doesn't use it.

Blatter wouldn't be able to get the 'right' result if the refs had to have independent reviews of their decisions.

Oops! Controversial!

Or maybe not.

Warnie has gone to 'under the covers'. He does more than pull shots. :naughty:

Australian national cricket has been plagued by selectors warring with players. Maybe the side now picked has been stirred up by previous selector decisions. What ever the result its keeping up the interest in this tired old format. :duck:

It's certainly not tired right now. Gripping contest if you are a Cricket fan.

Johnson's bowling spell was awesome. Haven't seen fast bowling of that quality for a long time. Hussey will be player of the series. Ponting will get his first Ashes victory and be immortalized.

Even if the Aussies go on to win, at least England have avoided another humiliating 5-0 whitewash.

The Aussies should prepare their pitches, for the remaining two matches, the same as the Waca.

Definitely wind must have been a problem!
The series is alive! The Boxing Day test at the MCG is usually a corker with a big enthusiastic crowd. Need to be watching from outside Murfs in the warm air to get that real MCG feel: not as at the member's bar. :sun:

All looking a little sad for the Aussies........... England hit the 100 mark without loss.

After the Perth turnaround 'The Punter' put the victory down to getting away from 'paralysis by analysis' and getting down into the trenches etc etc. This is not working at the MCG! :banghead:
Seriously doubt if he survives as captain after the Sydney game. Not in the same mould as Border, Chapells. or Waugh.

Still, its all good fun, is cricket. :rasta:
