Thanks for the phone numbers and directions. I'm due out on Sunday so I'll familiarise myself with it's location then.

For anyone travelling Southbound on the Petchakasem Road (beach on your left), an easy thing to remember is to head for that first available u-turn everyone uses for Market Village mall. The one at the electric company's office.

So when travelling Southbound you will see the hospital on your right approx. 450m past Market Village, and the u-turn is approx. 300m past the hospital.

@ Dr. Mike; Will the hospital have a nephrologist on duty, and facilities for dialysis?

Renal Dialysis---probably not--that is an activity that is very specialised and needsa volume of patients to support it.

To answer a previousquestion.I am not sure that pre-registartion has much value--the registration on arrival process is usually pretty fast.

Dr. Mike,

I have asked before but are still not sure of your pricing. Many of us have to look closely at budgets especially if we are not insured so a simple guideline please i.e. price of a private room per night, cost of a doctors attendance. Obviously the use of sophisticated equipment is difficult to project but at least it would enable us to gauge a cost.

I've had 2 strokes in the past 6 years and require regular check ups and revision of Warfarin dosage etc. I have used the Bumrungrad in BK, San P in HH, Petcharat, Khon Kaen Ram and some small clinics in the wilds of Isaan and the prices are so different naturally.

Obviously your services are going to be far superior to some if not all of the above but some indication would benefit many of us.

Sure we all want the best treatment and as I live across the road from you (East) your facilities would be ideal. My monthly check up involves the following: Blood test, doctors examination (used the same doctor for 7 years now when in HH), medication. I know how much it will cost me depending on which of the hospitals I have been to.

A rough idea please

Well Dr. Mike it seems I'll have to research my questions in my previous post of mine myself. After all it is only a trot across the road and a quick question at reception.

I have already heard some favourable reports but nevertheless it would be nice to have some indication of your pricing (apart from the promotional stuff).

Whatever I unearth (if I am able) will be posted in my next post on this thread

ps In your last post you said the 'outpatient' clinic would be open in January. What about the 'in patient' clinic?

Richard--I think that is a better plan than me asking for you. I was out of Thailand last week, at a British/European medical Insurance conference.
The In-patient areas are coming along well---first plan was June now we think probably in April, everything will be open , but maybe part of the area in March.

I used the services of this new hospital today and was impressed by the service, the cleanliness and friendliness.

The direct debit for insurance will only commence when the OPD section is fully operational, I was told. For the time being bring enough cash.

Already hearing about price variation and availability of facilities. The latter acceptable in it's early days. The former inexplicable

We have just had a discussion on another thread about snakes, so I would like to ask Dr. Mike
if the new Hospital stocks any anti venom, and if so if they have staff with any experience of administering it, and for which species of snakes.

I know that there has been some research done in Thailand, and efforts made to produce it, but any comments would be good. :D
