The majority of Yernited fans still won't believe the Glazers are harming the club though.

They're, I've witnessed what can happen myself for the past few years.

Now heard that it's nailed on that "He" is gone, no matter the result Thursday.

Rijkaard will be unveiled on Friday.

Reina and Torres have made it known that they don't want to work under "him"

Thank god! Just get him out!

Reina and Torres, throughout their careers have worked with some of the best coaches in the game, they come back from winning the World Cup, and a 5th year PE Teacher has taken over and ordered them to play more "English"

Bye Roy, nice knowing you. :guns:

Police break up United fan demo at Rooney's house

Cheshire police were called to Wayne Rooney's house on Thursday night to break up a demonstration which included a banner reading 'If you join City you die'.

Around 30 Manchester United supporters, many hooded and wearing balaclavas, stood outside Rooney's Prestbury home and invited the player to come out.

When he declined, they unveiled a banner reading 'If you join City, you're dead' as he watched from an upstairs window.

Police soon arrived at the scene and the crowd dispersed but no arrests were made.

United later sent their own private security team, who arrived in stab vests, to stand guard after the protesters had left.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Cheshire Police can confirm that at 8.30pm today a call was received from a resident in Prestbury regarding 20 to 30 people assembling outside the address.

"Officers attended the scene and the group dispersed peacefully, no offences were committed."

The demo has been linked to the so-called Manchester Education Committee, who led a similar protest at Rio Ferdinand's house during his protracted contract talks in 2004.

Stay classy United fans.

Anyone see the Ian Holloway rant yesterday about Wayne Rooney?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9116212.stm

Hypocritical me thinks, see below:

Ian Holloway, Plymouth, 20 November: 'I'm not going to Leicester. It's total poppycock, if I'm allowed to use that word. It's absolutely pathetic. The media is a very powerful thing and, unfortunately, they can make a rumour into a bigger rumour. But ask anybody who knows me how I feel about Plymouth and they will tell you the truth. And if you need me to say it again, I will. I'm in love with the place. It's absolutely magnificent.'
22 November: Joins Leicester.

And also: Where was all the ranting and moral outrage when Rooney swerved signing a new contract at Everton for the same reason he's doing at Utd?

Everton:Man Utd = Man Utd:Real Madrid

Complete double standard by the media, and all the managers who have come out in support of Utd today. :banghead: :cuss:

That's what really winds me up, it's like a national day of mourning in the papers, 4 or 5 pages in every paper on why Rooney shouldn't leave United from the likes of Redknapp.

They don't mind making up stories about people like Torres though and actively trying to unsettle players.

 :? :?

Wayne Rooney has agreed a new 5 year contract to stay at Manchester United until at least June 2015.

The agreement follows intensive discussions between the Club and the player’s representatives and means that by the end of his contract Wayne will have been a Manchester United player for 11 years.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “It’s been a difficult week, but the intensity of the coverage is what we expect at Manchester United. I said to the boy that the door is always open and I’m delighted Wayne has agreed to stay.

“Sometimes, when you’re in a club, it can be hard to realise just how big it is and it takes something like the events of the last few days to make you understand. I think Wayne now understands what a great club Manchester United is.

“I’m pleased he has accepted the challenge to guide the younger players and establish himself as one of United’s great players. It shows character and belief in what we stand for.

“I’m sure everyone involved with the Club will now get behind Wayne and show him the support he needs to produce the performances we know he is capable of.”

Wayne Rooney said: “I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the Manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong. I said on Wednesday the Manager’s a genius and it’s his belief and support that have convinced me to stay.

“I’m signing a new deal in the absolute belief that the management, coaching staff, board and owners are totally committed to making sure United maintains its proud winning history – which is the reason I joined the Club in the first place.

“I’m sure the fans over the last week have felt let down by what they’ve read and seen. But my position was from concern over the future. The fans have been brilliant with me since I arrived and it’s up to me through my performances to win them over again.”

I wonder if he's still a fat scouse bastard who never lived upto his potential?

Classy aint they?

I wouldn't worry about the sell on clause, it was only 25% of the profit.

If he'd gone in January the chances are he'd have gone for less than £30 million so Everton would have got nothing anyway.

Him signing a long contract actually gives Everton more chance of getting some money.

Good, what goes around, comes around - remember Goslin? The Green Army needed that money a lot more the millions you guys have just lost. That half million could have turned out to be a small club's salvation for another season.

With the incompetance of the Evertonian Board, I'm sure they've cocked up any sell clause as well.

Pots calling the kettle I'm afraid :?

As a Spurs supporter, I've been watching this with a grin - what an apparent mess.
And - Equally I'm not one for conspiracy theories.

BUT

It just occurred to me that with Ferguson being a very wiley old bugger (I don't like the old git - but respect his record as a manager enormously) and Roon the loon possibly not being as daft as he looks...........

Is it possible the whole thing was a scam set up between them, to get more dosh out of the Glazers???

During the whole damn episode, I think I am right in saying that Rooney not once said 'I want to LEAVE' Manure - he just said that he could not agree a new contract.........

Leaving the rest to the English press / media to hype up as usual. :banghead:

Food for thunk

Anyway - back to Spurs & Everton this evening :duck:
