The following web page is very interesting... one question it brought to mind though is why are so many Scandinavians living in places like Thailand when every one of their own countries are in the top 10?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
I'll echo Norseman's opinion about the weather. For about 6 months a year it's ok but from late October to late April it can be depressing, particularly the months from November to late February when it's dark most of the time as well.
One of the strongest plus sides is education. If you have children, they will receive a free, good quality education for nine years at least. Finland has been scoring very high marks for its educational level for years and I suppose the Scandinavian countries do well, too.
But it just as damned hot here as it is cold there... couldn't you find a temperate place?

I could perhaps find a slightly cooler place than Thailand, but I'm not old enough to dislike the look of this country's beautiful women.
However, the truth is that aircon helps me through the worst heat in the middle of the day, just like it helped me survive the 34,8º C we had today.

Having spent some time in Northern Norway in the winter, I can fully understand that.
The Nordic countries are very pleasant in the summer though and I think those who can afford to spend six months there and six months in Thailand must have a very nice life indeed.
