Restaurents near The Anantara

Hi
We are staying at the Anantara from 24/10/10 for 2 weeks.
I realise that it is a bit out of town. Are there any restaurents nearby for lunch & Dinner.
We are quite happy to go into town at night but nice to have an option.
From reports I have read the food at the Anantara seems good but relatively expensive.

Welcome to the forum JCN. The only thing I can comment on concerning the Anantara is that yes, the menu food is expensive per the lunch we had there not long ago. However, the breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever seen at any hotel, anywhere. You take advantage of that and you won't need any lunch. . I assume it's included in your room price. We were there as guests of someone else and they paid for us but I don't know how much. Pete

Chomtalay is a very good restaurant in a beautiful setting on the beach. It is located on the water just north of the tunnel almost opposite the entrance to Palm Hills. I am sure the concierge at the Anantara can give you the exact directions.
