Hidden users

Not sure which forum this should be in buy here goes.
At the bottom of the home page there is a part that shows how many people are on the site with members, guests , HIDDEN USERS, mods, admin etc.
Now what are hidden users ??

Can anyone be a hidden user or is it only (special member like mods or admin?? )

In your profile you have the option to have your online status displayed or hidden.

Only the Admin can see all of them hidden or otherwise.
