Inversion tables
Can anyone help me please?
I have been told by my chiropractor in Bangkok (Dr Don) that you can purchase an Inversion table in one of the big shopping malls in Bangkok - Siam, Central, Central World, etc but he doesn't know where and nor does anyone on thaivisa.
It is a stretcher set on an A frame. I used to have one in the UK (called a Back Rest) and you lock your ankles into it and lean back and it tips you upside down so that you hang from your ankles. It is very good for spinal alignment and utilises gravity to take pressure off the spine.
You can buy them online from the States but I rang one last night - the product was $74 and they wanted $136 to ship it to Thailand! Somewhat unrealistic I am sure you will agree.

If you find one, please let us know as I am in a need for a stretcher too. Is your chiropractor any good and would it be possible to get his contact details and the address to his clinic?Johnny Farang wrote:Can anyone help me please?

A childish and silly comment that isn't funny.poosmate wrote:Most sex toys are banned in Thailand.
Re: Inversion tables
is it not possible to get one made here,i know it seems a daft answer ,but it sounds a straight forward thing,is it not just a door sized table on a pivot that's upholstered with straps for your feet .
Re: Inversion tables
Actually, whilst I was bored at work last night, I had a hunt around the internet and there are plenty of these tables made in China and Taiwan, but I couldn't actually find details of a retailer in Bangkok.

Being both from Stockholm and having a bad back. I can understand why you may be lacking a sense of humour. Shame only one problem can be treated.A childish and silly comment that isn't funny.
no more dePreston
Re: Inversion tables
I actually thought the comment quite amusing. A Thai friend had one from Bangkok that was very solid built. Cost around 9000 baht as I recall. It was round like an astronaut training device. Quite weird to use.

Just had a quick google. Every image on the first page looks way less substantial than the one my friend has.

Re: Inversion tables
I have seen an advert for a certain hairdressers, where you are hung up by your ankles to have your hair cut. Can't find the pic at the moment tho.
Very similar to what my wife does to me, when she wants to empty my pockets of notes and loose change, when I get back from the pub.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

Re: Inversion tables
Thanks for your help chaps I bought one yesterday in Siam Paragon on the 2nd floor. It cost 16,000B but they also had a cheaper one at 11,000B. The young chap that assisted me was called Nung and was very helpful. I had previously found pretty much the same product in Central Chit Lom for 27,700B! They offered me a 5% discount but no more and were not nearly as helpful as the young chap in Siam Paragon. I will know where to try first in future! Dr Don Neilsen is my chiropractor and can be found at 02 258 0350 in Wattana, Sukhumvit - Bioenergy Asia Co Ltd they also have a web site but for some annoying reason I cannot list this online at HHAD sorry! He comes highly recommended and works every day but Mondays.

BaaBaa, That is what you get when you are "inverted" Try sitting at a table like all other coffee drinkers.
