Perhaps you should contact one of the local pest control firms and have then spray your house and gardens. It is pet friendly so no need to worry about your cat. I am sure one of your neighbours can recommend a firm in your area.

I don't believe that bed bugs are the cause of your problem. I think you are suffering from urticaria which is basically an alergic reaction to something. It could be food, strong sunlight, a virol infection, many things. It could last from a few weeks to several months or even longer. Go to a pharmacy and ask for a strip of anti-histamine tablets. Take one a day and monitor your condition. The rash should disappear within a couple of hours of taking the first tablet. Stop and it will probably return.
Pull up 'urticaria' on Google, it will tell you all you need to know.

exnavy, you might be on to something. I googled urticaria and found some pics that look similar to what I have. Most of the pictures are rather extreme, but the ones that are a little more toned down actually match the look of the bumps. I'll give it a try tomorrow and report back. Hopefully you're right!

Not if you put a few drops of liquid bleach into the water. Hopefully the house is screened so not that many mosquitoes get in.

I hope the antihistamine works and you can conclude it is hives. If not, better add the cat to the mix and make sure it doesn't have fleas that could be jumping to you. Pete

No fleas on the cat. She had all kinds of stuff put on her as prep for the trip. So she's doing much better than me right now, out in the porch enjoying the sun.

On my way to the pharmacy right now and will report later. I did wash all sheets and blanket yesterday and I seem to be a little less itchy this morning, so there might be something there.

bed bug bites are in a line one after the other..... got bugged in India.

if its more of a rash then its maybe prickly heat, which a couple of mates seem to have picked up this season.... Boots or any chemist have powders for that.

I've had it too for the last few days and the missus also came up with the same diagnosis - she suggests chamomile treatment, so she's bringing some home with her this evening - hope it works!

Prickly heat the size of the diameter of a pencil rubber after 24 hours - No No No !!

Think again - I am no doctor but having lived in the east for so many years it might be best if you saw one.

Well, home and took the anti-histamine. Will report back in an hour or so. I'm coming from somewhere hotter than here, so cannot be the heat. Hua Hin feels nice and cool in comparison.

oops .... she meant calamine!!

She's just brought me some Cadramine-V lotion (60 baht) and it says it's good for (I quote) relief of pruritus, insect bites, urticaria, eczema, prurigo, prickly heat and diaper rash - so, apart from the last one, it pretty well seems to cover most of the diagnoses suggested here so far - we'll see how it is tomorrow!!

Both my daughters and I experience an itch rash after each taking a shower in a hotel in Khon Kaen. So for our next showers we ran the shower for a minute before going under. Problem solved

ok, the itching is gone (unless I touch the spots and then they itch again). The spots themselves are still there. I was hoping they would magically disappear after taking a pill but I guess not. My legs look like a battlefield. But I'm not itchy and right now that's all I care about!

If similar to what I had in Honduras (sounds like it) the itching disappears but the marks stay for a while and slowly fade. A week ++

As mentioned, sounds like a histamine reaction.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Will keep an eye on it and see if new ones show up. I can't afford a doctor's visit right now, so I'm hoping this solved it.
