Hua Hin hospital prices and service

Post by buksida »

A relation had an unfortunate visit to Hua Hin hospital recently however all was well in the end. I was so impressed with the building, facilities, staff and costs I thought I'd post something about it.

They were rushed into ER and had a full range of tests following an asthma type attack and breathing difficulties. Stayed over night in a private room with separate guests room, flatscreen TV, and all brand new amenities. The costs including all doctors consultations, medication, lab analysis, nursing fees, room and meals came to a mere 4,500 baht. They even issued a bill and medical certificate in English so that it could be claimed back on the insurance.

A similar trip to San Paolo would have cost around ten times that so Hua Hin hospital is highly recommended should you be unfortunate enough to require it.

Been to their ER and I think it's the best bet in Hua Hin at least until Bangkok Hospital opens next year.

I went in for a non-emergency and found out that if you go as a farang alone, they will treat you in the ER straight away instead of making you wait hours with the Thai masses to see a doctor. The girls at the front desk speak good English and got me into the ER for a checkup and x-ray within minutes. I kind of felt bad as there must have been a hundred Thais waiting to see a doctor and it seems they moved me to the head of the queue!

The same thing happened to me too when I was there last December.

Yes, but you were having to pay more than 30 baht........business is business.

With that said, my wife went as a private patient at about 09h00 and after not having been seen to by 14h00 she got into the car and went to Petcharat.
I went to Hua-Hin hospital last year with a lung infection and was treated immediately. At least us farangs get special treatment sometimes... :neener:

I had to take my son to this hospital, palputations (he's ok caused by heat and lack of fluid intake). Whent in at approx 01.00am saw a doctor within 10 mins had tests and ECG and given 3 types of drugs for a 7 day course, back out much happier and heathier all within 1 hour. Cost 520baht!!!
Thanks to a Thai lady who I know who met us there after I called her (at 1 am) to help with any translation, who also then called her husband to take us back home after we was finished.
