So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.
Hmmm.........all sounds great in theory but, and don't want to sound too negative here, I can imagine it being the police's worse nightmare as far as drugs/crime/excessive drunkeness/traffic accidents/drug dealers with guns etc go. On the positive side then it will boost the local ecomomy for a week or so each year. Personally, I wouldn't go near it with a barge-pole, too many pissed up kids/baffoons, recipe for trouble, regardless of what the organisers say.

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
If there is constant rain, 2 feet of mud and a row of stinking, overflowing portable toilets, then it will be just like the Glastonbury festivals I went to.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
A way of minimising Police cover perhaps they will use bikers to do the job instead?? UK style

Any idea if the act "T Bone" is Thai or from the USA.
Reason for asking is that we met a guy called T-Bone who is a keyboard player in Perth who 2 weeks ago who is a member of currently touring Al Green's band. Went to see the concert at Perth Zoo and was out of this world.
Saw Al Green in the UK in the mid/late 70's and this man has lost none of his talent or class.

Like the comment about personal hygeine at foreign events. Can still remember people sitting as far away from us as possible on the train after 5 days at the Treworgy tree fayre. Don't remember mush else as we pitched the tents next to a stall that made pineapple wine and a scrumpy tent.
