Where to start? Pad Thai is pretty safe. Penang or Masaman curries. Rice soup with prawns. Omelette with minced moo. Larb if they are brave. Plenty of raw white cabbage, cucumber and green beans. Sticky rice and mango.
Those Lobo pastes are good - I use them at home in the UK, especially the Holy Basil one.
The great thing about Thai food is how cheaply you can produce a feast.

A Masaman, Sontam but not overly loaded with chillis, Chicken satay with the right cucumber salad and Khow pat moo. Accompany all with the appropriate dips

Easy to make and all mix well  ENJOY :D

So many where do you start? Like Mags a Thai omelet (kai jiel) is good for a light meal with rice. I like shredded crab in mine. Tad man blah or gong with that sweet/hot dipping sauce is another good one. You can buy the patties already prepared and frozen in Lotus and other places now. A good deep fried fish with the shredded mango/purple onion/chili/cucumber sauce is a great main dish. Steamed muscles or clams with a sweet basil broth. Soft shell crab (bo nim) with a sweet sour sauce. The MK special of sliced duck with sauce on green noodles ( bamee yok), but this is probably more Chinese than Thai.

Favourites used to be beef salad (yum neua), tum yum gong and cold seafood salad (yum talay) but no more as have eaten too much. I don't think I could survive living here away from the sea. Pete

Excuse the spelling and the name might be wrong, but its the chicken with chilli and basil. Amazing.
