I bought some of those bright red rat pellets, but they all got eaten and I never found any dead rats.

The live ones probably ate the bodies of the dead ones if there were any.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I think that to your average Thai rat, eating these pellets is just like heavy smoking; it just shortens their life a bit but it doesn't kill them outright.

christ the little blighters are reincarnates of Rasputin. Does that mean we have to shoot them, bludgeon and stab them then drown them. If that's the case I'm getting a fox terrier (Jack Russel) with an appetite!
