I am sure that there are two factors that makes the result.
1) Thailand is a wonderfull place to be.
2) Thailand is probably the only country in the world where you will actually get some value for swedish kroner.

And not to forget: Prostitution is not only prohibited in Sweden; a person using the services of a prostitute is also comitting a criminal act and will be proscecuted if/when caught. So no wonder why many Swedes prefer ThailandHilux wrote:I am sure that there are two factors that makes the result.

Well, actually the vast majority of the tourists that the poll mentioned above is referring to, are charter tourists and they are mostly families traveling together.Lung Per wrote:And not to forget: Prostitution is not only prohibited in Sweden; a person using the services of a prostitute is also comitting a criminal act and will be proscecuted if/when caught. stgrhe, I am not trying to insult you or any other sweede. I am only saying that people tend to go where they get most value for the money.

And looking at the rate of exchange for swedish kroner over the last 10 years, there are not many countries that give as much value for money than Thailand does. Maybe except for London? - I saw some british guys in another thread discussing how much the pound had gone down lately...
