Awful TV it may be, but I enjoyed it

Thanks for the info guys - I'm amazed I missed it going on around me, especially when I was a Pattaya regular. Guess I must have had something else on my mind.

Just watched the second one (slow connection) and a lot of it is repeated stuff. It also makes me cringe watching that and feel ashamed that I too was born on that miserable lump of rock they call England.

Don't get me wrong think the show is a great watch but unfortunatly all it seems to show is the debauchery in the less 'classy' (No disrespect to anybody in and around those parts) sections of Thailand.
Although it is showing how dangerous of a place it can be i get a feeling it will attract even more arseholes who live for acting like the pricks on the program.

I Know the country well and looking forward to me hols!!!
but my folks who are coming over to LOS for the first time
are watching this programme....and they will not be

responding to advert in the bangkok post for quick profits
in gold!!!etc etc...

Mind ill watch anything on UK TV about Thailand
ive got it bad!!!

Regards to all

My wife and I watched most of the first programme, then switched it off.

I had half expected it to be full of Thai scams, druggies and drunken no hopers from around the World and we were not disappointed by the film makers content.
It seems when reading other comments on here, that all the other episodes are full of much the same content, so we won't be watching those either.
I can see that sort of thing filmed in British towns and cities, if I wanted to watch that type of behaviour. Same idiots, different continent.

What would have been better, would have been a secret camera programme, maybe we would have gotten a truer picture of events on walking street.
But having seen a young lad (on another site) who the TPVA caught filming them in a public place, I for one would not want to try it. :guns:

The black uniforms don't help their cause one bit, I know HM says that the colour is chosen by the Thai police but surely after all the negative comments, why don't they see sense and change to white shirts. It works for other volunteer forces and would go a long way to answering many of the critics arguments.

This series will no doubt be shown all around the World, can't see it doing much for Thailands reputation, it's bad enough as it is at the moment and these programmes will only make it worse.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

So Marcus thinks he was prejudged by the judge !
10 M in assets ($?) his rather naive daughter who has an unspeakable connection with her dad and never thought he was involved in the trade (musty have sold lots of travel tickets) and ex blonde wife thinks he should be punished (maybe a good talking to is in order).
He also seems to have a pretty free run of the prison too. Must not have had all his assets confiscated??
Where do these people get their value systems from??? No guilt whatsoever.
