I used to use ice when I visited the outlaws up North. In and around Hua Hin you can normally get it cold enough - the trick then is to drink it before it gets warm
I'm with Big Boy! In Udon, I found I had to use ice - large bottles, sans condom, decanted into mugs just warmed up too quick. In HH, mostly small bottles with condom (whatever the neoprene sleeve thingy is called) seem to retain the chill long enough. I've had beer in HH which was over chilled to the extent that it turned to ice when the cap was removed!
Had enough of the trolls. Going to sleep. I may be some time....
Ice in beer! disgusting, agree with previous post stick to drinking the small bottles which will keep cold when it is put in a stubby (condom) or if you still insist being cheap Charlies and buying the biggy ask for an ice bucket and put the beer in the ice between pourings.

That's the spirit, they all blend into one!

The only water that should be in beer is the water used in its brewing. I would have never even thought of putting ice in beer until I moved here and still don't allow it unless the beer is not cold... then it is the last one I'll have at that establishment, or if I know I'm in for a long afternoon of large Changs with the boys. Then I allow it so as not to get drunk too fast...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
At our place we offer it cold from the fridge or if a customer wants it, we have a supply of 'Iced' glasses in the freezer, with or without a layer of ice in the bottom.
