This is just a general rant about the idiots at TOT (Totally Obstinate Tossers). Having just moved house I went about trying to get the existing phone line reconnected only to find out that it will take about 2 WEEKS
Why it takes this long to flip a switch and turn the line back on I don't know, I only suggest using TT&T who seem to be far more efficient. Anyone else had bad experiences with these idiots?
I've had couple of strange bills from TT&T. First one was just a machine calling the the bill would be 4.000 baht +. On calling them they claimed the same but when my missus went there to see the bill (it was by far too much), she was given a bill for 1,400 baht. Now they've send me another one claiming 4,000 baht payment but there were calls only worth about 1,000 baht on the bill. Has anyone else had these problems?
Don't trust the phone lines in hua hin, i had never used my phone just for the internet line and i payed per month for a card and it cost 2 or 3bt for connection, i used it once a day for one or two hours then switched off, at the end of the month i got a bill for 7.000bt i started thinking f*** this and went down to TT$T and told them the problem, they said it was the modem it keeps on connecting every three minute, so i went home and check it out,was it f*** no problem with the computer, went back down, what the f*** same old s****.In the end they said it was a problem with the lines and that it was a TT$T problem, but i still had to pay half the money and if i didn't like it i could take it up in court in Bangkok.f*****g, C**k, S*****g ,W*****s
tezzer,
So you were a tad annoyed then?
I know you probably looked into everything regarding this, but it is also worth a timely reminder for something that has caught many people out (including me) - make sure the phone number your computer is dialling is a Prachuap Kiri Khan number; the area codes for PKK and Phetchaburi regions are exactly the same - 032 - but the first number after this for PKK should be a 5. If it is not then you are dialling a Phetchaburi number which will cost you a hell of a lot more. Needless to say using the internet pre paid cards often involves one of the 4 digit phone numbers and these are not a problem.
I am hooked up to landline 512 speed ADSL its OK not as good as I hoepd but acceptable I can pay more and get better. They came around and were running lines through my neighborhood. It is called Maxnet and its either TOT or TTT. Whats it matter as long as it works. Most of the time it does, if not here is always Hutch CDMA wireless what I'm using now in BKK. You pay your bill at 7 Eleven and its the same every month with both services.
