Hi mods, could it be possible to have a live chat feature like a messenger i think it would be good fun and enhance HHAD for members.

If anyone else thinks this is a good idea please post some support.

It's not a feature that I ever tried, so I don't know if it actually worked; but I remember the front page advertising a live forum as one of the site features. I always assumed that was a live message board that was eventually disabled because nobody was using it.

Was I adding 2 + 2 and getting 5?

An earlier version of HHAD back in 2003 had a chat system but it was discontinued as people were all on at different times and it wasn't working.

Now that the readership is a lot bigger it could be worth doing again, I'll see what code I can find on the net.

2003 :shock: I didn't find HHAD until 2005. I must have been using an old PC :D

Nice one Buksida, as a shift worker i log on to HHAD from work at night as well as the day or if i finish work in the middle of the night i allways come home fire up the PC and have a beer, it very rare i log in and there is no one else logged in.

yes it is a great idea....but im usually the only one in here maybe apart from several guests, though be warned, we could be invaded by bots...the term used to describe trash that get into a chat sites directing you by sending links to sex sites etc. Yahoo is full of them, MSN gets them as does Skype.
