Before going to HH for the first time I wondered whether there was such a service and as we know, there is nothing.
What you have described would (approx) halve the road travelling time which could open up the market, although it might be less comfortable at times.
If your target market is tourists, wouldn't a direct flight be better (quicker, more comfortable, but obviously more expensive - maybe higher margin too as a result) ?

Pattaya-Hua Hin High Speed Ferry--Interest in this Idea??
As far as flights are concerned, they are cost-prohibitive to say the least.
There used to be regular flights from HH to BKK and return. Then they tried to turn HH into an "international airport". Took years and heaven knows how much money to complete and not one international flight landed.
At the same time there was talk of extending the domestic flights - so BKK/HH/Samui and Phuket/HH/Pattaya.
I'll give you one guess what happened to that.

Snip,,,
This design concept is pretty new for Thailand.

The small prototype of this is currently performing its tests quite well.

My friend has dubbed it the "Wave Piercer" design.
Cheers!

There are no new concepts about any of the basic principles of boats, hulls, waves, motors, sails, propellers and such.
Nothing whatsoever. Nada. Zero. Nix und zilch. Rien de rien, ingenting, dlja njet, m'a fi, fii tut mitaeaen.
The great navies of the world have tested them all. Any new concept is just a variation of an old excisting design.
Even if I see it, I propably won't believe it.
Nihil nove sub sole, as we say here.

Re the history of the ferry to Hua Hin from Pattaya.
The "wave piecer" that used to operate was really quite substantial and quite speedy.
It was just that Hua HIN was a comparative backwater in the early 80s, only only became busy at weekends when Thai families visited by train and bus.
The ferry operated in a triangular route including Bangkok.
Due to heavy loss making, the ferry was switched to the South, and operated from Phuket to Penang and Langkawi. Plus tourist trips to the Similians.
