Lomu, Not sure if they do one for the Championship lol.
At least Pete will not be able to blame his Geordie boys for messing up his IKTS scoring next season. Perhaps those fans of the relegated teams should suggest that one is produced so as they can have an interest.

For this one season the Toon won't be around :D, I'm not sure which team I'll adopt. Very well could be Wigan. I saw an interview with their manager right before the MU match and he has grit. I like his style. Pete

Gareth Barry to Man City £12 million if you hadn't heard; must be for the money because I can't see City challenging the top 6 next season. It makes a mockery of Barry's previous comments about only wanting to leave Villa for Champions League football. Given that City already have de Jong and Kompany who can play his preferred midfield position, I'm not sure what good it will do his England chances either. He is a good player but I'm not sure he is better than what City have already. Given Mark Hughes luck and performance last season, he will probably get injured or have a massive loss of form anyway. Will O'Neill buy someone to replace him or will Reo Coker step up to the plate and the money used on a striker? I love the close season for all the rumours and moves!

well, it looks like your pro jinx has already begun pete, the wigan manager ( steve bruce) looks like he could be on his way to take over at sunderland  :D

maybe sunderland will be your new adopted team?, they are close neighbours of the toon, though bitter rivals

For us non-English gentlemen, can someone put the Premier teams into some kind of geographic, regional perspective?

For example, I guess Liverpool, Wigan, Blackburn and Bolton are all in the same region. As is MU can MC. What about the rest? Thanks. Pete

Just as generalisation:
Liverpool and Everton are Merseyside -Liverpool
Man U and City are self evident
Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham are from London but being a big place some are from north of the river and some are to the east and west of the city. There are currently none in London from south of The Thames.
Aston Villa and WBA are from the Midlands, around Birmingham.
Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn are around the Manchester area but not in the city.
Stoke is in "The Potteries". Again up towards the Northwest and south of Manchester.
Portsmouth is on the south coast.
Sunderland, Newcastle and Middlesborough are in the northeast.
Hope I havn't forgotten any and that's just a rough guide. I'm sure you'll get more precise information, especially regarding the passion, from other members.

I forgot Hull. Again, towards the northeast but quite a bit south of Newcastle.

Thanks Lomu and RZR, that's huge help at least for me. I've gone through the last two seasons making picks without really considering any intra-regional rivalries except MU, MC, Arsenal, Chelsea. Now at least I have some new ammo, I need all I can get. :D Pete
