Has anyone seen a software DVD called "AAA Logo 2008" in any of the computer shops/stalls in Hua Hin.

If so can you advise what one.

If not does anyone know of an alternative logo generator DVD which is available in HH.

Thanks for the information.

I downloaded it but it wouldn't work. I then downloaded Vuze (previously Azureus) and still can't get it to work.

I click on it and it appears for a nano second and vanishes. I had to open up my firewall and change loads of settings/permissions on Spybot search and destroy.

My system slowed to a crawl. Apart from that ......

I've deleted everything and my system has returned to normal.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

With any torrents have a read of the comments before you download them, they soon give you an indication of whether the file is fake or viral.

If that particular one did not work try a different one torrents can be hit and miss!

Thanks.

I'll try later in the week when I have more time. The one I picked had no comments on it and showed 90/9 seeds and/or seeders (whatever it is)

As an alternative you could go to this place and see if you can find anything that suits you: http://alternativeto.net/index.aspx?profile=software

I tried and failed a couple of more times to download this but got a friend to do it last week with success first time.

I'm beginning to think that I might be the problem!!

I'd suggest your bittorrent client is misconfigured. Have a look at http://www.utorrent.com/ it's free, lightweight (doesn't use much RAM or CPU) and I've always found it very easy to use. On non-windows machines I tend to use Transmission, but on Windows utorrent's your best bet.

Or even the Bittorrent client itself... http:/www.bittorrent.com

Certainly I would think long and hard about Vuze before using it. I downloaded it because of it's advertising 'secure' downloads. I forget the details of what it did, but it was harder to shift than most viri I have had. Hooks all over the registry. I had to do a system restore to get rid of it. In my opinion Vuze is one (small) step from being malware itself.

I do agree with that. I also deleted Vuze from my computer for the sam reason.
