That question is as precise as how long is a piece of string.

- Do you mind being driven by a boy racer?
- Are you worried about the driver's insurance cover?
- How many are travelling?
- How much luggage will your party have?
- Do you want a bone shaker or luxury?

I'm afraid if you ask a vague question, you're going to get a variety of answers with people saying that their taxi was 2 Baht cheaper than somebody else's.

Personally, after travelling for many, many hours couped up in cattle class, I prefer the luxury, all inclusive, safe option for which I paid 2,600 Baht for last year - fuel prices have significantly dropped since.

Its entirely up to you, but I'm afraid with such a vague question, the answers you receive will be vague - you'll probably get somebody claiming that they only paid 1000Baht, but they'll never reveal how they found that price nor what they actually got for their money.

Agree BB - taxi prices are impossible to gauge - you can get a crapped out 15 year old Nissan driven by a Lippo'd up maniac for 1,500 baht - or a plush brand new executive saloon driven by a bloke in a uniform that knows how to drive for double.

HHAD's taxi services are here:

Don't know if the prices are accurate though as the cost of fuel has dropped.

Additionally if you want cheap bars try Bangsaphan - you won't find many in Hua Hin!

That concept with the drivers/car owners over here on this side is as alien as we are.:alien: They are not budging on prices since fuel costs started to drop. I doubt they ever will. Pete

Hi Eddysbay

I took a public taxi from Suvarnabhumi airport to Hua Hin in November last year.
I ask for the price at the public counter in the airport, and was told that the price was 1500 THB.
When we start to drive I ask the driver about the price, and he said 2,500 THB. I tell him to put me off, because I had been told the price was 1500 THB.
He was not happy but he drives me to Hua Hin for 1500 THB.

mini van needed 06.03.

Post by kaokalok »

accidentally asked this question in the white board section but think it s more appropriated here
we are looking for a mini van from ban krut to kao takiab on 06.03. in the morning
as the hua hin taxi service need the booking 24 hours prior to departure,it s too late to book via their site
Any suggestion or help would be appreciated,
thanks
