Went today, this was in window and officer confirmed they are moving to Prachuap.
Spoke to visa girl we use and she said they can take passport (for a fee) to do 90 day reporting and you don't have to go in person. Not 100% sure about this but she has done it for me before in Hua Hin, course could all change in Prachuap!?!?
Just called and can confirm this, apparently the 2 year lease on the land is up and there is no where else for them to go, the govt doesn't have the budget to rent anywhere in Hua Hin.

Good opportunity for a big business (large development etc) to get lots of traffic by offering them a free space and building.
Wife's just leased a bigger space than their office in Soi 94 for 5k/month, someone's got to build them an office though (shall we all have a whip round ?), come on splitlid design it for them ..........
I will delve further into reporting by post as my previous links to the Imm website have pointed out can be done. Seems pretty painless to me but quite how it works is another matter.
Imagine all the money Imm make from foreigners here in HH and Thailand as a whole. Imm is a huge money spinner with extensions, re-entry permits and the like. And they can't afford their own offices? Madness and Thailand at its "best".

Question now Lomu is will post reporting to Bangkok be allowed when the new regulation says you have to report to your local office!?!?

SJ
we could build it out of all the excess paperwork they NEED everytime a visa is renewed/extended. blah blah blah.
must also include a padded cell for the 'guy who just cant take it anymore'

If, as seems likely, they're moving back to the old place (which is actually about 10-20km from Prachuap), then life is going to be VERY jolly. That place was a real journey! I did my original visa & stuff there back in '05, but mostly it was handled by the school I was working for in Samroiyot -- which is a bit closer.
Am I being too cynical in thinking that the companies that specialise in handling visa, 90-days, etc., for foreigners are going to do VERY nicely out of this, & so maybe someone in Immigration has an interest in such a company?
And we thought it was a nasty drive to Hin Lek Fai, where they proposed putting it once before!
However, if we complain too much, they might make us all use Bangkok. (Don't laugh -- Japanese Immigration closed 9 branches in neighbouring prefectures & made them use Tokyo!)

Saw this thread earlier and when I got back up off the floor I realised I'd forgotten my 90 day report on 4th Feb. Picked myself up off the floor again and went to ask Mrs D-M for 2000 baht to pay the fine. Picked myself up off the floor again and drove to 102.
A lovely young lady I haven't seen there before (she looked like a student to me...) filled in the form for me, handed me back my passport with a smile and never mentioned the words 'money' or 'fine'. I picked myself up off the floor again and asked about postal reporting. No problem, I was assured, provided there was an SAE to return the passport. I didn't ask, but I imagine you'd have to include a completed form as well.
P.S.
Using the scant details provided, here is a map showing the rough location of the 'new' immigration office. Google says it is 104km from HH -- fancy hitch-hiking, anyone? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 03497&z=12

The officer told me today 123km's away, he grinned widely when saying it
Extract from Immigration Department rules on 90 day reporting: "2. The foreigner authorises another person to make the notification"
So basically we do not have to go there just authorise next door's gardener
Now you know why they call this "The Land of Smiles"
I'll bet they smile as they give those Burmese folk their boat ride as well . . . (Naughty Troopie!)
