Hello all,

I hope this is in the right place, if not perhaps admin can move it.

I've just joined up and have learned a great deal here about HH already, seems to be a very helpful community on this board.

I'm planning to come over in a few weeks to look at buying a house. Initially it will be a holiday home that I would like to let some of the time to expats.

I'm hoping some of you might be able to offer some observations.

What's your opinion - better to be closer to town or closer to the beach?

Would you recommend being between Cha Am and HH or south of HH?

Are Cha Am and HH starting to sprawl toward each other?

Many thanks

John

Chaam is boring. my opinion.
Depends on your budget.
I'd say get in or around town and have a good look around before setting your heart on one house.
Its nicer to have a place where you can avoid some of the more risky parts of town traffic wise like over the railway tracks, but that's just my opinion again. The town is right up against beach, just the shops blocking it there.
Shame they continued to allow them shops there down the years. Be good for the place if the town bought them back and put in a nice catwalk.
That would make hua hin.
Also if there was a tesco or big c here. ha.
