And this is an amusing letter that the PAD distributed at the Airport day before......
On November 26, a young woman, dressed in a yellow shirt, was seen walking around the PAD rally site at Suvarnabhumi Airport, distributing a message in English to help clarify the PAD rally. TOC found her message interesting so we've decided to put it up on our website for everyone to be able to read it.
This is to clarify the situation here in Thailand as I believe the foreign press have formed the conclusion that the PAD has little chance of winning this final battle to topple the Nominee Government of Somchai Wongsawat, the brother-in-law of former PM Thaksin Shinawatra.
Before I say anything else, I'd like to stress here the the PAD's policy is to use ONLY peaceful means and we have proved our intention by using only reason for the last six months. However, the continuous and nearly daily violence and murderous acts committed against us have come from either the Government, or its representatives, the red-shirted United Frong of Democracy against Dictatorship, which are trying everything in their power to pave the way for the return of Thaksin Shinawatra to become the first President of Thailand.
The aim of the PAD is to rebuild a country based on integrity, honesty, freedom from corruption and fairness from all Thais: all this together with the absolute determination to maintain and honour the Monarchy. We have the most wonderful and exceptional King who has reigned over his people with wisdom and love as the rest of the world is well aware.
Practically the whole of Thailand from all walks of life has converged onto Bangkok to support the PAD. We are not being paid to be here to use violence to get our way. We are not here to support a handful of corrupt politicians serving only one man who wants to divide our country. But we are here by choice, we are here to share an ideal, we are here to realize our goal which is to rebuild our country into a better place for the 60-odd million citizens. It's actually not a question of "winning or losing" -- it's the reality of achieving what is good and right for our country -- Thailand.

PM Hands down Order to Employ Whatever It Takes to Disperse PAD
UPDATE : 28 November 2008
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Suchart Muenkaew says he's received an order from PM Somchai Wongsawat to employ any means it takes to disperse the People's Alliance for Democracy from Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi airports.
Pol Lt General Suchart reveals PM Somchai has ordered him to disperse the PAD protesters as soon as possible. But he added that the premier has stressed that the police must ensure no violence breaks out. The Metropolitan police commander says the police will attempt to control the protesters via the most gentle means. Only if those means failed to produce results, they will step up the degree of the dispersal.

Good evening fight fans and welcome to this weeks rumble in the jungle live from Don Muang Square Gardens. Buzz has been building up for weeks now around what could be the fight of the century between two lads with an axe to grind...
Thats right Bob...so lets take a look at our two contenders...
In the yellow corner, a wee bit stinky after 4 months of training its Protest Paddy....Hes looking in pretty good condition after the weekends beefing up session...hes up to about 7,000 now and looking fine. Moral seems pretty high, and his supporters are all in dancing form.
Yeah Bill and it is nice to see them all here again. There are a few more rowdy elements at the back there with the sticks and knives, but they seem to have the crowd in control...
At least for now Bob. But down in the red corner here comes tonights contender...."Killer" Keystone Kops. he'll be fighting tonight in mainly kahki green, with some brown and black trimmings. Hes still recovering from the real pasting he got last month from Paddy, and lets just say he has a score to settle. Dont forget last months fight ended in a knockout blow and was also followed by a controversial judges decision.....
Yes Bob but keystone did bite the legs off a few of the crowd and killed two of them....then said it was their fault....so maybe the judges did have a point....
Extreme Bill, but thats always been Keystone's style.....his management have said hes going to use new tactics tonight and go easy....but we all know that just means he will fight as dirty as ever....
Should be a good one Bob....
Killer Bill....killer.
Say Bob, whats that his red shirted supporters are waving.....
Well Bill Id say those look like grenade launchers and assault rifles...although our official government source tells us they are in fact lollypops and cuddly toys...
Looks like a gun to me Bob....
Its just your eyes Bill....Lollypops.....the government says so.....
Ok Bob.....
So....we await eagerly the first bell.....now heres Mike with some sponsor advertisements...."

The government will enlist help from former prime minister Thasksin Shinawatra if a coup is staged against the administration, Government Spokesman Natthawut Saikua said Friday.miked wrote:Someone behind the PAD are trying to destroy this country, probably for their own profit.

He said thaksin would make phone calls to direct the resistance against the coup on around-the-clock basis.
"If a coup is staged, thaksin will fight against it along side with Thais. He can make phone calls to us 24 hours a day," Natthawut said.

Sorry BaaBaa didn't quite get that, do you mean Thaksin would be able to help in preventing a coup ? Can't see what he could do to stop the Thai Army!?
If I'm reading it right, Buksi can put me straight as he knows full details, the proposed change to constitution by PPP, apart from giving amnesty to Thaksin, it changes the Army's new 2007 constitution clause giving amnesty against prosecution of Army coup leaders. So Army leaders can be tried and imprisoned.
They'll let PPP and Thaksin get away with that over their dead bodies, ie: they'd just do another coup and change constitution back.
Also PAD protests against TRT/PPP/Thaksin started before any proposed constitution change allowing Thaksin back, so that's not their motive, which is a legitimately valid motive, ie: he's gotta serve his time.

Super Joe,
not everyone agrees with our opinion of Mr T.
its not a question of support for the PAD. I'm not Thai and this is not my country. i have no vote, not allowed to own land and am only allowed here on a visa. i like it here though and will probably stay. if Mr T returns then I'm off. if Pad don't stop him then he will return and he will be more arrogant than ever. we all are aware of his ultimate ambition and he will probably achieve that, cause a civil war and that will destroy the country. if that's the other option then good luck to the PAD. far from perfect, along way from democracy but the best choice for Thailand.
