Apart from a boozecruise in 2004 with a coach load of my old school teachers to Calais, The only other place ive been is Thailand 5 times now.
Talk about a real culture shock when i got there first time.
Parents never had the money to take me and my sis away when we were younger. Apart from a rainy camping trip in North Norfolk when i was about 6!.
Started my own company this year, Hopefully in the coming years i will have money to do a bit more exploring of the world around me.
I want to go to china and see the Xian terracotta warriors, Go to Vietnam and see Hanoi and Halong bay, Cambodia too see Anchor Wat.
So im mostly untravelled.

I did a Trans Africa trek that bumped the numbers up (even passing through Angola at one point) and Ive been lucky to have jobs that involve travel and working abroad.
Also helped that I hated every single minute I had to spend in the UK.
Mum and Dad started me off on the travel bug......

Guess I've no roots and destined to be a 'wandering star'

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Ah ha, you see Thailand has everything if you look close enough. About half way between Pattaya and Sattahip east of Rt #3 there is a Chinese museum with a dozen original Terracotta warriors. The only statues that have been allowed out of China on a permanent basis per my understanding. The museum is near Silverlake Vineyards and the Big Buddha in gold on the mountainside. The Thai man who founded the place is some kind of business big shot with very close ties to the Chinese government.
Worth a visit if you're in the area to give an idea what you'll see in Xian when you get there. The place is also loaded with other Chinese antiquities. Pete

16 that I can think of so far, with many repeat visits to some and since 2000 its basically been UK/Oz/Thailand.
I must get out more!
But interestingly, my interest is waning although I would like to think I could explore the region more when based in LOS.
Also, some places can be explored in a very short time, say Macau, but others like Oz, are too big to see it all. In 6 or so trips to Oz, I have never been to Western Australia.
And with the missus, we will explore a bit of europe over the next year or so. But europe has never been a great draw for me, its the far away places that enticed. My first trip out of the UK was to Hong Kong when I was 23.

where have you been
I was surprised I have been to 26 plus 9 different Greek Islands which only count as one and I do not consider myself as well travelled.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.
Difficult to make a 'well travelled' judgment. Visits can fall into many categories
Lived
Extended stay (3 week holiday etc)
Multiple visits to same/different parts of the same country
Touch down only or 'passed through on a train/plane
eg I have been to Australia. 5 hours in Sydney airport plus 5 hours flying over it to Johannesburg. Can't even say I saw a dingo or roo
