Please don't :guns: me! - after reading the comments above, I hardly dare ask, but when is the Sheraton due to open? Would it be a better bet for a Christmas stay than some of the more established hotels?

Kaban Tamor v. Central Hua Hin Village

Please could someone tell me who these two compare (can't find any Kaban Tamor reviews on this site). W'ere a group of friends with small children (ages 5 to 10). Is there anywhere else similar/nicer?

Thanks, Pete

Still undecided! Have read some decent reviews on the Regent Cha-Am. How does this compare to the Hilton? I know it's less luxurious and not in town but at least it's not high-rise and there are some refurbished rooms at the Regent.

I thought I'd given my reasons for choosing the Hilton. However, just in case I've missed anywhere here are our requirements:- 1) Must be 4* or 5*. 2) Ideally close to the town. 3) Must have rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. 4) Must have sea views. 5) Cannot be a single story build...

Firstly we want somewhere posh(ish), preferably with its own Spa. We also need somewhere that allows two kids to share a room with two adults (this rules out virtually everywhere including the Marriott and Anantara). Being close to town and on the beach would be good. Finally, my friends are a bit f...

You missed lack of Tsunamis which AFAIK has recently been a major influence in the increased tourism in HH.

Thanks everyone. Sounds way out of town. Think I might stick with the Hilton.

Sheraton Hua Hin

I've found some articles on the web suggesting that Sheraton are building a hotel in Hua Hin (just Google for sheraton hua hin). Does anyone know if this is true? If so when is it due to open?

Now discovered that Marriott don't have rooms for 2 adults plus 2 kids. Anyone stayed at "Central Hua Hin Village", not the hotel but the bungalows opposite?

Thanks for the replies. I've checked the websites and the Hilton looks a little too high rise for us. Sofitel looks a little too Colonial and Anantara is too far out of town. Has anyone been to the Marriott?

Hi Keoni,

Many thanks for your reply. I should have asked this first but I assume that HH is a fairly nice resort and a suitable for families?

Family Hotel? Price not important.

Any idea what the best hotel Hua Hin would be for a family holiday? Cost is not an issue.

Thanks, Pete
