I was down there about 10 months ago now, had a great time and I was travelling solo except for the company I had, meaning I was the only farang. I never felt any danger, maybe it was the beer ha ha.

Where would you live if you didn't live in Hua Hin. I need to make a decision, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I stayed at Jings in Oct 2011 just for two nights, it was great, the staff are wonderfull and they did laugh when I woke up one morning with three women in my bed but it was all in fun! Make sure you buy them(staff) a few drinks, they deserve them putting up with all us farangs!

I am staying at Jings in August, they have been very helpful with preparations and airport pick up and it is right in the center of the bar area.

Well you guys I am coming in August hope it helps the numbers BUT i am watching the election aftermath. If it is not good here I am off to Vietnam.

Hey gang back here in eastern Canada this Hua Hin Wannabe has lived with 23 days of rain in the last 25, the temperature has not been above 10 degrees celcius and the forecast for the next 5 days, you got it rain.....give me 30 something and humid right now......

Thanks everyone, great information, I would like to stay in Hua Hin but it looks like that might be more difficult. The one area I did not get to when I was there Sept to Nov was the Northeast so I guess this would be a chance to see it.
