I checked into the FAQs of worldwind, and from what I understand they get their data from Landsat 7 and reprocess this. The best resolution they can get from this is 15 meters per pixel. However, most places are shown at 30 meters per pixel at this stage. It doesn't get any better than 15m/ pixel. T...

Installing an alarm can sometimes backfire. Especially if it triggers when you're not there and annoys the neighbours. Hardwiring door and window switches are messy, and if they really do want to come in they'll just use the roof... PIR are not so effective in this weather, and is prone to false ala...

At least in HH you're *safe* if you walk on the footpath. In Bangers, the motorcyclists use the footpath to beat the traffic, don't be surprised to have a motorcycle tooting his horn at you to get out of his way... :guns: And have you seen those upside-down plastic buckets that pass as an excuse for...

If it's anywhere else other than the beach or the poolside, it's not acceptable IMO. Topless (and in some cases bottomless) ladies in the go-gos are acceptable only in that one venue; I'd feel uncomfortable if a dancer popped out to the McD's in Patpong for a quick burger and was waiting in the queu...

Yes, it should have a stamp identifying it's fineness somewhere on the item. For 22 carat gold, it is 916.caller wrote:...snip,snip..
Would you expect it to be hallmarked in any way?
Here's a link for light reading..

The difference is in the number of carats. Most of the gold sold in other parts of the world is the 18 carat variety. It is preferred as it is fairly robust. The gold you get here is of the 22 carat variety. It is purer, but a lot softer, and so may not keep it's shape over time. Pure gold is 24 car...

I've used the FTA satellite for many years, and have recently changed over to digital. There are two main suppliers of equipment, PSI satellite and Dynasat. I would recommend you look up the www.dynasat.com website, although most of it is in Thai. A moving dish setup for home use starts at around 22...

Erm... first off, I hadn't realised that the SGA flights had been covered in some quite recent posts here. The reason being, I won't use an air service as I have my own jalopy and will load the family up (the relatives too) on the ocassional weekend and trundle down the road to HH. As for Pattaya, j...

Daily Bangkok to Hua Hin flights
Reading the online version of today's Bangkok Post I came across an article on the ways to get to Hua Hin. Imagine my surprise when they said there is an air taxi service 4 times a day! http://www.bangkokpost.com/en/081205_Horizons/08Dec2005_hori02.php The company's name is SGA Aero and they operate...

I don't think you can *really* generealise. You've got to see which particular cross-section you're examining, then you've got your average for that cross-section. Example: most of my wife's colleagues are holders of at least one degree, many (including her) have their masters. Their salary range is...
