Thanks for the update and for all the hard work over the years.
I look forward to the new HHF.
I log on every day but in future will try and respond when something is of interest rather than just reading and moving on to the next topic !

Tony's book shop
An update on Tony's bookshop. It is still there and run by his partner who handled all the direct customer contact before. They don't put books outside anymore as people used to take them without paying. All the same rules about returns, buying books etc are still in place. So, basically, apart from...

Article in UK Daily Mail
You can expect lots if comments from people back home about this article in todays UK Daily Mail. It's a long read but doesn't paint Hua Hin in a very good light. Here is the headline The town where ANY older man can find a young female lover... making it one of the world's biggest expat magnets. FR...

AP Interfoods closing
I was in AP Interfoods yesterday. Half the fridges were turned off and most of the shelves were almost empty although some of the freezers were still stocked. I asked if they were closing and was told "Yes - in February". It's a great shame as I have used them for some considerable time. B...

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread
Just had my online application submitted yesterday, rejected. I was half expecting this, as for the first time in a while, they changed my 90 day report date when I completed my visa extension in August, and then I left the Country and returned on the 12th September, so obviously not yet 90 days af...

Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
Sorry, forgot to say that our bill was 600 baht for two main courses including a jug of beer that was 200 Baht or so.
And, of course that included the plus VAt plus service.
I will take a look next time and try and post a few more prices.

Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
After playing golf yesterday, we decided (against my better judgement) to eat at Palm Hills. I was amazed at the huge choice available on the new menu and the quality was fantastic. Ah Yes, I hear you say "but what about the price" ? it is a golf club and they are always expensive. Not tru...

Probably the best live rock band I have ever heard. Stone Head Band play at El Toro Loco Soi 102 every day of the week.

Can highly recommend The Spices in Soi 51.
Excellent quality and quantity. Not quite up to Mukti but a lot less expensive.

Harry's do a fantastic breakfast - small and (very) large. Also eggs benedict and other options.

Re: Good general practitioner
The doctor's fee is much less than Bangkok Hospital and any medication is also much cheaper.
The annual fee also includes a health check and blood test.
Give it a try.

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin
I have had two takeaways from Mukti.
Without a doubt the best Indian food I have had in Hua Hin in the 15 years I have been here.
I am sure that their menu will increase over time.
I 'followed' them on Facebook and have received various updates on their specials etc.

Re: Small print dooms Brits' travel insurance in Thailand
I had a NatWest gold card that covered me for absolutely anything from travel to health issues, hospitals etc etc. It also covered anybody travelling when the card was used to pay the fares. Obviously it was too good too last and they changed their credit card system several years ago and the old in...
