Re: New pedestrian overpass for Market Village

I tried out the new overpass today, appears it is now formally opened and complete. It looks very nice and I didn’t notice any problems with the riser height of both stairways I used. It appeared the coating on the edge of the stair steps is wearing off already, wasn’t sure if it was just paint or s...

Re: Where to buy Grass Seed

Has anybody found where to buy grass seed ? I know about and have used the sod method of laying or repairing a lawn, but I’d really like to experiment with seed for repairing some of the smaller areas.

Re: Ceiling Fans

When I moved into my house 3 years ago, the 3 fans on the outdoor terrace were barely functional. They may have been 11 years old, if they were installed new when the House was built. They did not have any name brand markings. I did a lot of research and settled on the Mitsubishi model C56-RQ5 as re...

Re: A few online Thai Language starting points

One of my favorite websites is https://www.thai2english.com
I’ve found it to be much more accurate than google. I also paid the license fee and installed their windows based client software, it links to their internet backend and has a wealth of resources that aren’t available on the free website.

Re: Interpreter needed for tessaban visit

I use my Thai language teacher, at Sirada Learning Centre for this exact same service. Her name is Kruu Oh. She is out today but back in the office tomorrow. SIRADA is located on the ground floor of 83/14 Wongchomsin Building, about 100 meters (maybe 150 meters) south of the Tessaban traffic lights ...

Re: Where can I get spare water tank lids?

Never seen just the lids for sale, good luck. I would probably craft some new ones using wood, and paint them well with oil based paint for durability.

Re: New Year beach parties ??

The fireworks barge is anchored directly offshore of soi 75/1 this year, about a kilometer or 2 farther north than in years past. Easy enough to walk along in this area until you find a party.

Re: Where to get a medical certificate

I need a medical certificate for work, any suggestions where I can go? I don't need anything fancy so BKK Hops, San Paulo, HH Hosp not needed. Same medical cert no matter where you get it. At BKK hops it's 380b. Last week I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Driving license threads say they can be...

Re: Kite Surfer Dies Off Hua Hin Beach

Irish kitesurfer a victim of Hua Hin’s perverse tourism drive Bad weather did not kill the Irish kitesurfer in Hua Hin – as the police have implied – but the buoys installed by the municipal authorities a month earlier. The buoys were supposedly installed to protect swimmers. How? A week before, un...

Re: Kite Surfer Dies Off Hua Hin Beach

I’ve been kiting here for years and was appalled a few weeks ago to see the city of Hua Hin had installed this buoy system the entire length of the beach. I kited only once since then, nearly got tangled in the line of buoys and have not been out since then. I know a couple other liters that have be...
