I feel your pain - laundry hasn't been done in time, the shop is closed or moved to Chiang Rai, the stuff is not clean, shirts are torn or missing, socks of other people aso. I got myself a washing machine, 6.5kg, 6000 THB, fully automatic, I just throw the laundry in, wait 50, 60, 75 minutes depend...

Seems like sandman and crazy are talking about the same place; I'll go and check it out as soon as I find the time. Just moved to HH and need some time to find my way around. I'll also ask about the "81 thing"... Guess, you're talking about something else. The bike has never been registere...

Word is that 90% of the big bikes (bigger than 250cc) are illegal, that they have no papers nor a valid plate. I guess it's because it is difficult, expensive and risky. - I'd like to go legal, I would pay up to 50K THB for that, but it seems easier to find some illegal drugs than a reliable shop th...

Thanks for your reply, crazy 88. Forgive my ignorance - what does "No 81 affiliated clubs" mean? And where would I find the Lone Wolf Bike Shop? Maybe your club president could tattoo a license plate on my girl's back and she'll ride topless, or she could wear a bra made of tax and insuran...

Rob - how many windows did you do and how much did you pay? I'll measure one window and get a price, then I can sort of calculate how much I need for all the windows plus the door. Will move into the place next month, then I'll ask a guy to have a looksee. If I keep all my valuables in one room upst...

Where to get a big bike legal (tabien)?

Bom Dia! I'm trying to get my 250 legal, and so is my buddy with his V-Max. Seems like CP Bike is the place to go in Hua Hin but the guy is in financial distress and I wouldn't give him any cash at the moment. Is there a reliable shop out there which can get a real green book and plate? No recycled ...

real green book for big bike - ?

Hi there, does anybody have any experience in getting a "big" bike legal here in Hua Hin? I have a 250 and my buddy has a V-Max, both have invoices. Seems like the only big bike shop is CP Bike but the owner seems to be in a bit of financial stress. Are there any other places or people who...

Even the abbreviations are confusing, LPG, NGV, CNG, LNG... seems like the easiest way to remember is NG for natural gas (or PG for petroleum gas) and then put either an L for "liquefied" or a C for "compressed" in front of it - if petroleum gas and natural gas is the same... Now...

You're right, I shoulda done my homework first before asking that question. Guess, if this topic was covered already somewhere else, I'd be grateful for a link since I didn't see it. I was under the impression that gas and Diesel engines would use different gasses. This here link was quite informati...

Diesel to NPG conversion..?

Now this is a topic that doesn't fit anywhere else, so I post it here... Did any of you expats convert your Diesel truck to NPG here in HH? If yes, how did you go about it? I'm interested in all the details, where, how much, how long, did it hurt? Also how is your truck performing now, how much do y...

Well, 50+ kids in a class is hard to believe. But it just reflects the situation in Hua Hin - lots of growth and the infrastructure isn't keeping up. Just found out that there isn't a school in HH that has AC (Yamsaad may be an exception being relatively new) but at Somtawin where one pays over 6K a...
