Same situation, here.
One year of internet & sms is reaching an end.
I'm back very soon.
After a lot of questions - mainly from my side -
I have finally decided to deal with the situation
only when I'm in HH. Otherwise, how could I manage
with that crazy distance between us ?
A holiday flirt ... isn't that idea good enough for me ?
Yessss, it is 8)

The bar is respectable and she loves you so what's there to protect? Deep down you know how it is but just won't admit it.

I've now been with my Thai girlfriend for nearly 2 years and we are still very happy, and I expect to be with her forever. Yes I did have to say goodbye to the Misses, and risk the scorn of the kids and grandchildren, but I am happier now than I was for a long long time.
However I was VERY lucky this time.
A previous relationship with a 'nice' girl I met in a bar in Bangkok resulted in my having a passionate cyber-affair with her email writer, several volatile trips to Thailand and a huge investment in anything from doomed hair salons to hospital operations (for her, not me). Not to mention wasted Viagra! She turned out to be certifiable and I came out of it a mess, and a lot lighter in the wallet.
But on a good day she was truly amazing.
Be warned by all that has been writ here, but if your family really isn't doing it for you, you might get lucky in Thailand.
Good Luck

Hi cashncarry,
My advice is take a cold shower, tell the MRS you love her and spent your holiday in Brighton next year.

Hicashncarry, this probably is not what you are looking to hear but have you thought how you would feel if the shoe was on the other foot? Also if you are so unhappy with your wife why don't you let her go so she can find someone who cares about her, it isn;t fair to use her as a security blanket in case this fling doesn't work out. regards sam

Sound idea Steve, but if you look at the date of the original posting she has probably had about fifty farnags that she has "loved", spent at least fifty grand on phone cards and beer chang for her motorcycle taxi boyfriend's gas and changed bars at least three times.

I must have met that girl in HH. She was different from the rest...very special and she told me she loved me. On my last day she gave some photos and her phone number. I was going to hide them in my golf bag and hope my wife would never find them. Then my mates talked some sense into me.
I couldnt throw the pics away so I put them in an envelope with a small gift and a note and delivered them back to the bar next day.

The holiday was over and so was the relationship. We have no way of contacting each other.

2 weeks after returning to UK I can nearly go 20 minutes without thinking of her... but I know I did the right thing.

Sure... never burn your bridges and give it time... few years passed and you'll be much wiser about what you've got in your hands. :thumb:

I think Cashncarry should read Private Dancer by Stephen Leather I think it gives a good insight as to what bargirls think of farangs.
As an ATM,just push the right buttons and money comes out !!!

Has anyone here read it and agree ??
