Now another problem.....................Big Boy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 2:04 pm For the last week, I've been trying to order something for my son's business online. A common problem - even though the website is in English or Thai, any order in English is ignored. The order was worth 17,000 Baht (19,000 Baht according to their website ), so not to be sniffed at.
This morning, it was time for Plan B. Get my daughter to phone them in Thai, which she did. The response was one that we have also had from 4 other different companies that we deal with, and one that I find quite remarkable............"We don't deal with telephone or e-mails anymore. Please give us your Line ID."
Sure enough, 30 minutes later, the deal is done, and delivery will be within 7 days.
I really find it incredible that businesses do their transactions this way. The company is FBT, so not a 2 bit organisation.
As I said, this is now the 5th organisation that we deal with in this way. Further orders are made via Line. The one good thing is responses are immediate. I guess it works, so don't knock it. I just wish they'd update their web pages to reflect this, rather than have mugs like me trying conventional methods first, wasting many days - sometimes looking elsewhere. In this instance, the items are specialist, and we wouldn't know where else to look.
We were told the items, which are quite bulky would be delivered Friday. They didn't arrive. My daughter contacted them to ask where they were. Oh, they were delivered at such and such a time. We have a signature.
We don't have them.
They were definitely delivered. We have a signature (went on to give name).
Never heard of him.
After a lot of tooing and froing between us, FBT and the delivery agent, it seems these particular items are usually delivered to schools, not private addresses. Even though we provided a map, the goods were delivered to the local school. The school has been partying for the last few days, with kids from all over staying. No idea where the items are, or what state they are in. The delivery agent is supposedly travelling to Hua Hin tomorrow to sort it out.
Not happy at the moment, and if the goods do eventually arrive, they will be thoroughly inspected before any signature is given.
I'm quite disgusted in that the company insisted on full contact details and a map - I've never been asked for all of this information before. What did they do with additional information request? Ignore it - they delivered to where they thought it would be best. Morons - TIT.
