Hua Hin bus station relocating?
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
As I said, the cost of travel to Bangkok has more than doubled.

Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
I've just read that they're starting a shuttle bus from central Hua Hin to the new bus station. 100 Baht each way, so only a 20% fare increase.

I was there today, and they were providing a free shuttle van service to the clock tower. No idea if it was available in the reverse direction.

In some decisions you win and in others you lose. Living in soi 6 it's gonna be a lot easier to collect my visitors when they arrive from Swampy. No more fighting through the town traffic lights.

Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
I saw on the booking site of Bell that theey provide a service from "Hua Hin Bus Station" for 100 Baht. Is this ths former Busstation at Soi 96 or the clock tower, as hhinner said?
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
Our local friendly taxi drivers are charging 300 baht from Khao Takiab to the new bus station.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
The sign at the new bus station said "hotel drop off, 100bt a passener" and there was a white minibus with a Bell Travel logo on it. I imagine they'll do a run to any major hotel like similar services in Bangkok.pitsch wrote:I saw on the booking site of Bell that theey provide a service from "Hua Hin Bus Station" for 100 Baht. Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
Soon I will arrive with Bell travel from Suvarnabhumi to the "new" stop near Hua Hin airport. I think I read someplace there are mini bus from there to anywhere in Hua Hin aera for a fixed price, but now I cant find it.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
If you book online you can add the service as an additional extra before payment. 100bt for 'Hua Hin Hotels' service, or 200bt for 'far away Hotels' (don't remember the exact wording). There's no indication, so far as I can see as to what constitutes a far away hotel. I don't know what the procedure is if you've already go your ticket.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
Does any songthaew pass the new bus station on its way along main road? Looking to get to bottom of Soi 86 at main road.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
^^ No, but there is a free shuttle to the clock tower. You could then get a songthaew from there (white round city bus).
Assuming you mean the new airport bus station.

Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
I cant't see anywhere there are free shuttle to Clock Tower.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
Seems to be a bit confusion on whether or not there is a free shuttle. Will keep an eye out on the forum for info. I'll be using the bus on 11th Feb. Will post my experience after that.
Re: Hua Hin bus station relocating?
I thought it was free until the end of January, and 100 Baht thereafter.

The only songthaew I'm aware of that goes close is the lime green one and that does a uturn right at the entrance to the airport and heads back into town.tb51 wrote:Does any songthaew pass the new bus station on its way along main road? Looking to get to bottom of Soi 86 at main road.
