Where to Watch American NFL Footbal in HH?

Post by paul406 »

I would like to know if there is a place in Hua Hin that is accommodating to watch American Pro Football.

Thank you for your reply.

I unfortunately can't give you a specfic place, but any pub or hotel that has UBC or J-Sat (I think) will have the games. Problem is, most are on in the middle of the night or, start at 5-6 AM. Yes, they do show repeats the week after at more reasonable hours, but you already know the final score by then. Pete

Paul,

Pete's spot on - the only possible time to view a game in a bar is if ESPN are showing an early Sunday game from an east coast venue - kicks off Thai time approx midnight - if it's west coast it won't kick off until 2am, when the bar is closing.

The other problem is that very few, if any, bars in Hua Hin are American owned, likewise not so many American customers. Therefore there isn't the demand - although a few Canadians and Europeans are fans.

I'm not American but I love NFL - only games I have time to watch though are the Sunday/Monday night games that kick off at 7-8am here depending on the game venue. And I just watch as much as can in the house before leaving for work.

There is usually a Superbowl party on somewhere though.

Almost every bar has UBC and if open, I am sure they would be delighted to put it on for you.

Ken,

This makes you a tie with Johnnyk's bus from BKK reply as my "most helpful post of the year" vote.

Thank you all for your very thorough and prompt responses. I appreciate your help. I guess I will have to think about my strategy to viewat least some of the games in real time. I won't be in Hua Hun until Decemebr 10. They playoffs would also be fun to watch...
I appreciate the the replies from you all of have gone through this before andare willing to share what you know.
