A search of the forum did not turn up what I needed, so I will start a thread here.
As well, I have seen these kinds of places springing up on every corner over the last year so and I dont want to wander the town looking for the best one.
I need curtains, drapes. ..those long cloth things that cover your glass doors and floor to ceiling windows when you dont want to look out.
Ideally, I could ask them to come out to the house, measure, give me an estimate, show me samples, sew them up and install them . . .fast ( say a couple weeks) , good quality, reasonably priced ,service minded etc. .what I have come to expect from the better companies here in Hua Hin ( our gutter installers and screen door guys were superb . . .and we have nothing but praise for the people who installed our stunning kitchen cabinets.
But the trick is to find the right company.. . .we have also had disasters, the latest being the UBC installers/technicians who came to move our cable to the next room. Absolute idiots. .took them 10 minutes just to locate our satellite dish, looked for cable connections in our office ( other side of the house completely, nearly broke a laundry lattice fence, ran the cable over the roof tiles and created general havoc for an hour and a half until they left without a word of farewell. ( This was a simple reconnection of a cable. .and it took three idiots and a driver nd hour and a half !) I wont have them in my house again I tell you.
Anyway, anyone have recommendations for a company that does curtains?
Curtains!
Chas, I do not know the name as I am not in Hua Hin at the moment, but the small sales office where the lifts (elevators) open into the car park at Market Village, is the office of the Thai owner that supplied all the drapes etc., in our house. He is very obliging and will come to your house to measure up, show samples and install them.

May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

Chas,
We were very pleased with the service, price and workmanship of the people we used, which is a small shop next door to the Hole In One laundry in the row of shops on the canal road near the traffic lights (there is also a vets, an aircon shop and a couple of others. We actually ordered Roman blinds and net curtains but I am sure they would do an equally good job with curtains. They cleaned up everything as they went along as well. Only possible disadvantage is that they only take cash.

(Forgive the directions)
Turn left at the very top of the nightmarket... past the train station and its about the 3rd shop on your left before you reach the railway crossing.
The guy from Siam Old teak reccommended him to me as he fitted out his showroom/house. The thai owner ( squeeky voice ) was very professional start to finish . We had them fitted a year ago, had one small problem , and he was straight out to fix it that afternoon. No charge .
His handmade, bamboo inlay curtain style magnetic doors, make an excellent and eyecatching alternative to traditional patio door curtains/blinds .

Baipo Curtains
Hello,
We have a small townhouse in Sam Roi Yod and are looking for Roman blinds. Does anyone have any information about BAIPO Curtains? They are located on the first road that turns left north of the train station in the second block. Lots of samples to show, just wanted to know if anyone has actually dealt with them.
Thanks,
Dale

That describes exactly the people who did our curtains (every window in a 350 sq meter house). They are one of the few people we have hired here to do any work that we were not only satisfied with but went above and beyond what we expected. I don't think I can post the number here so I'll get it from my wife and PM you. They are a couple from Petchaburi but they come to your home, measure, bring loads of sample material books and give you an estimate. Then they deliver what they promised and if you have any problems after the sale (we had two minor ones with a spot on one of the curtains and a curtain that wasn't moving as smoothly as it should), they come back and happily correct the problem. I am very demanding and I couldn't be happier with their service. We have complicated curtains as well, some with three rods with a blackout shade, a sheer curtain, and a formal drape on the inside. They come with a catalog of photos and will create whatever you want.I need curtains, drapes. ..those long cloth things that cover your glass doors and floor to ceiling windows when you dont want to look out.

Sorry I appologise for the directions, come over suicide crossing, past G supermarket, turn right on the Palu waterfall road, just before you turn right as though you were going to the driving range.
On your left hand side, you will see a DIY shop, on the left hand side of the road, with the name TOA above it, next door to that there is a curtain and drape shop, the young girl speaks good English and they will come out to your house, with several pattern and material books and discuss your needs then deliver and fit your curtains and drapes within a short time, at a price that you will find hard to beat.
