Pai murder

Post by rockandrollnomad »

Does anyone know about the shooting of two Canadians in Pai around 6th. of January 2008. One was shot dead and the other seriously injured but this is all I know. I don't recall seeing any report of this in the Bangkok post... :( :( :(

Rockandrollnomad: It's in the 'News' section of this site about 5 topics down. A lot of speculation as to what really happened.

Thanks Vital, I was shocked when I read this as I arrived in Pai on the 6th. of January and heard nothing of this story... Not good P.R. maybe to tell tourists of a murder happening only hours before I arrived. :guns:

I don't think there was much in the BKK Post, but The Nation covered it extensively. An English journalist there was going up to Pai and Chaing Mai to try to find out what really happened.
I'm sure that if you search the Nation archives, you'll find the stories.
