I went to the Grand Gym a few times with my son when he was Karate training back in August. The guys there were mainly in T Shirts and Shorts - certainly not posers.

The Grand equipment looked very good, and plenty to go around. However, as I said, I was only there to watch my son Karate training, so I've no idea of costs.

dont get my first post wrong its just that most gyms i visit now are full of wierd chaps pumped up on steriods and thats something im very much against ,who seem to think they are training and as anyone who knows anything they are just cheating themselves and ruining there bodys in the long term ,but each to there own i would rather gain muscle naturally

ste860,

It may be because I used to go mid=morning with my son to the Grand Sport, but there was never anybody there matching your above description when we were there.

migrant,

If you want to know the prices, just go inside and ask. The 2 ladies at the little bar just inside are very friendly, and won't put you under any pressure. The prices are listed at the bar anyway - I just didn't take that much notice.

The gym Near Grand Plaza is your place ste. Go have a look. They are nice, relaxed people. Count on around Bht. 1.000 a month if you want to come and go as you please. I think they have 10-trip card's to. Don't remember the price, but talk to them. They won't cheat you.

I'm interested in checking out this place, but need directions. When you say "Grand", do you mean that the gym is inside the Grand Hotel? Or is it one of the businesses in the plaza outside of the hotel? Or somewhere completely different?

Okay thanks to both replies, I know where the Thai boxing arena is. I'm not going to get thrown in the ring am I? ;)

The Hilton has a membership prograM THAT ALLOWS FULL USE OF THEIR HEALTH CLUB (GYM, SAUNA) AND POOL (ooops... damned "caps lock"), and a discount on drinks & meals... memberships are 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Fairly expensive. Mezanine floor.
