As for the Scotland equaliser, the ball rebounded off the goalkeeper prior to the goal being scored and this made the player onside.
You cannot be offside after the ball strikes the keeper and then comes back into play.
scotland robbed
No mention of that in law 11 - offside - of the laws of the game.2dandan wrote:As for the Scotland equaliser, the ball rebounded off the goalkeeper prior to the goal being scored and this made the player onside.

I agree with caller - if a player is in an offside position when a shot (or pass) is made, which rebounds off either a defender or goalkeeper from the other team to that player, and he either plays or attempts to play the ball, he should be flagged offside. He would not be offside if the ball was played by one of the other team however, but a rebound or deflection is not counted in that respect, as far as I am aware.

Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
I thought home advantage was restricted to Old Trafford, wasn't aware that it happened north of the border as well. Still good to hear that "Cur" Alex was banished to the stands at half time, though his mobile should have been banned as well, not that it made any difference.Big Boy wrote:rzr,
Don't be bemused - haven't you heard of home advantage?
