The Popemobile goes on auction

Post by Jockey »

The Popemobile that his Holiness John Paull II used on his visit to Scotland is going up for auction.

http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/viewa ... ?id=392585

Its a 1958 ford pope-u lar....classic

Its rumoured Celtic FC are going to bid for it to display their trophy haul at the end of the season.

The beechgrove garden TV program are bidding - for use as a mobile greenhouse.

Stan Collymore may purchase it to persue his "dogging" activities

Liverpool may be interested - for Peter "Hen Broon" Crouch.

Maybe the rev Ian Paisley's family will use it for the next 'save Belfast tree's' campaign.... or would they burn by touching it?

Maybe they should give it to the boy that lives in a bubble. Everyone loves to see a bubble in a bubble.

What else could it be used for?

What make and model is it ? If it's the new Samsung 800 I may be interested.

Bring it to Thailand and use it as a prototype to replace the tuk-tuks that Guess suggests will be outlawed in a few years?! :wink: :thumb:

To quote the late, great but controversial American comedian, Bill Hicks;

“I love the Pope, I love seeing him in his Pope-Mobile, his three feet of bullet proof plexi-glass. That's faith in action folks! You know he's got God on his side.â€

Not possible there is a clause in the sales contract that it can not be sold to heathens.

Anyway what the f**k was the Pope doing in Scotland. Had he lost his way to Dublin or something like that Or was he just avoiding the Liverpool area in case the bubble got nicked.
