Nasatta Light Festival Winter Illumination 2024

Post by joelle »

Highly recommend. It's just magical, wonderful place to visit as much for adults as for children. Great outing.
Also no dual pricing
About 1h30 drive from Cha Am

Ratchaburi’s Nasatta forest park puts on a magnificent show
.
One of Thailand’s biggest outdoor light shows “Nasatta Light Festival Winter Illumination 2024” gets underway from November 25 at Nasatta Park in Ratchaburi province.
.
The festival will run every Tuesday to Sunday from 8pm to 10pm until April 28 at the tourist attraction in Bang Phae district, about 80 kilometres west of Bangkok.
.
The 6th edition of the annual light festival will feature digital art, light installations and special effects shows highlighting Thai culture, traditions, and architecture in the 42-rai forest park.
.
The first week of the light show (November 25-30) will also celebrate the Loy Krathong festival, when Thais launch decorated floats or ‘krathong’ onto waterbodies to pay respect to Phra Mae Khongkh, the Goddess of Water.
.
Light show tickets are 300 baht for adults and 200 baht for children, while all-day tickets cost 50 baht more.

Do you know any more about this please? Is it drive through or if its walking, any idea if its wheelchair friendly? I'm in Ratchaburi quite a lot, and I'd like to take Mrs BB if suitable.

Went with our daughter for her 40th last year and loved everything there.
There's a free car park, and yes wheelchair friendly, there's also places to eat with nice selection of food at normal Thai prices.
More details and map on the link.
For the tickets you get them there at the ticket counter.

Thanks for sharing this, looks interesting, especially the photography days during the week. Good to see it runs until April also so you can avoid the hoards, we'll plan a trip in the coming weeks.

Looks like its closer to Nakhon Pathom than Ratchaburi, I'm guessing about a two-hour drive from HH so would have to be an overnighter?

Not necessarily, we went there and back in the same evening.
But then again it's up to you.
During the week there's less people. But as it's quite big it's not a problem.

26 minutes from Dragon Solar Park, so yes, easily done same day/evening, although when we go, we'll probably stay overnight. I'd estimate just over 2 hours each way.

Planning for this week's trip to the Light Festival, I see on Google Street View that it is advertising a Summer Flower Festival. Has anybody tried that one?

Yes, noticed it last year, looks also great but haven't been there yet.
Will probably go this coming year.
Hope you have an enjoyable time.

I'm not long back from this magical place. Here's a short video I've cobbled together. Full report and photos later.

Looks impressive, not too busy by the looks of it so I guess taking photos without being bombed by the Insta-selfie-crowd would be possible?

Very impressive, just like being in a fairy land.
To take photos there was no problem for us last year, people are very courteous and move when they see you waiting to take a picture.
