Schools closed November 2023

Can anyone fully explain why all schools are closed Wednesday to Friday this week.
My wife has shown picture of her cousin/teacher school in Issan, where it is not only a a teacher conference/jolly (which I first assumed) but some students are involved.
She can't fully explain why.
Maybe a much needed assessment of the school curriculum? OR
Teacher assessment? OR
Teacher training? OR
Just excuse for a jolly?

Definitely not ALL schools - maybe you need to be more specific.

Both schools my grandkids go to are open as usual. One of them is a government school.

Wittayakhom government school closed,wife's son goes there.
Wednesday morning Hua hin school (near canal road) 15+ busses and mini vans on road 3218, not sure if school fully closed?
Wife says that teachers come from all over even Pranburi, as mentioned in OP this is also happening in Issan.
Maybe we have teacher or parent here that can offer constructive answer to my OP.

Yes, I saw the buses. but kids in army uniform were certainly inside the gates when I drove past. Also a few young girls in their green girl scouts uniform mooching around outside the gates. I presumed it was some sort of sports day.

I drove past about 14:40 both Wednesday and Thursday. Not so many buses Thursday.

My daughter has just read it for me. It's regarding various tests competing with other participating schools. Not all schools are affected.

I seem to remember my daughter doing something similar back in the day. It is competitive.
