Oh my. Mistakes that stick with you for a lifetime if England doesn't go through.

 Wash your mouth out. Has nobody told you it's coming?
Christ BB, I admire your undying belief that "it's coming home"....... But sorry to say it's likely only the squad coming home - a tad early.
Saying that though, Cymru didn't even get to to the "finals".... Image

For the Poms, it's been coming home for decades, only it hasn't happened. Just their squad as you say, pharvey. But it's gone home every 2 years or even more often but the home isn't where the Poms would want it to be.  :rasta: :naughty:

It’s just a laugh, living in hope rather than reality - a bit like doing the lottery, many people do it but don’t expect to ever get the jackpot!!

Short memory BG - they did it LAST YEAR in the Euros, and it is not uncommon to do the double.
Championship Stoke City 3 - 0 Plymouth Argyle

Points 48; Position 20

The "extra time(s)" being played in these matches seem huge to me.

Sweden vs Japan, it's a pity this wasn't the final. Both have played good football. Nobody in our league predicted the result correctly.

There's a new procedure being implemented, perhaps it's already started in this WC?

Basically it's no longer up the referee's discretion how much extra time is awarded as it's been so arbitrary apparently, and of course prone to corruption. I think now it comes from upstairs what time to award based upon their documented stoppage time and tracking records.

Have to admit, I was expecting a big win for Japan - then again, all my picks are hit & miss!!

^ ^ Further above, there's a lot of voices screaming for football to do the same as Rugby Union does, stop the damn clock when there is a stoppage of play! I fully agree.
