Online eVisa application for tourist visa

Post by derek60 »

Has anyone used this online service? I submitted an application for a Tourist Visa at the weekend and it still says 'processing'. Do you know how long it takes to get a response?

Surely you read the guidelines when you applied - a quick look on the Thai website in London provides,

How to Apply for Thailand's E-Visa Stickerless

Thailand's E-Visa Stickerless Application will be effective from 27 September 2021. Foreign national, with a residence in the UK or Ireland, who wishes to apply for a Thai visa must apply and submit his/her application through the new online e-Visa platform at http://thaievisa.go.th .

Please note that it is no longer required for applicants to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person or by post at the Royal Thai Embassy, London. All payments are non-refundable, therefore please double check all information and especially spelling of names, e-mails and passport numbers since the Embassy would not be able to edit once you have made payments. All applicants will have to take their own responsibility on any error made on information submitted in the e-Visa application, which the Embassy will have to reject and as mentioned "non-refundable" and applicants will have to submit a new application. So please double check all your information and spellings of your personal information to "save time and money".

After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants. Therefore, please double check your e-mail account you submitted to avoid any error and delays in processing your visa. It is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation e-mail to present to the airline and the Thai immigration officials to check when travelling to Thailand.

Please apply in advance and allow 5-15 working days for the Embassy to proceed. And please allow time for officers to request further documents, if necessary.

If you wish to contact the Embassy for urgent inquiries regarding visa applications, please send an email to visa@thaiembassyuk.org.uk.

They replied on the 4th working day, requesting more documents. Selfie of me holding my passport, energy bill and bank a/c statement with at least £5k balance (I had sent my current a/c already but with less than £5k)
