Djokovic ran away with the first set in half hour. But what a second set! Some quite outstanding tennis from both players. Djokovic loses his first tie break in 12 or 13 of 'em something like that.

We've got a hell of a match on now, stick it on. :D

36 year old Djokovic finds a second wind to take the youngster into a fifth set. The man's a machine!

Nope, long past time for a new generation to take over.

There's no doubt Djokovic is an incredible player/athlete, but to say I'm not a fan is somewhat of an understatement...
Must admit, I did not enjoy the 1st set and had the "Oh well, business as usual at Wimbledon for Djokobitch...." feeling  But what a turnaround!! An absolutely incredible final, truly one of the classics IMO! Twists and turns and incredibly hard fought by both - one game alone taking half an hour or so!! What I also found unbelievable was that it was something like (only) the 4th tournament Alcaraz had played on grass and let's be fair, Djokovic has been quite the master on grass (and Wimbledon).
The crowd were certainly behind Alcaraz and Djokovic on 1 or 2 occasions certainly showed his frustration that things were not going his way. To his credit though, he was very gracious/humble in defeat - certainly not the last we'll see of him, but at 36 how much longer can he keep this level up? The "new generation" is here :thumb:
