Dentist recommendation

Post by migrant »

I have been going to Perfect Smile for a while across from Market Village but due to some issues will not return.

So looking for recommendations for a dentist. I've got a couple cavities (2nd and 3rd in my whole life) and may need a root canal.

Bonus for one that is generous with the pain killers

Thanks!!

I was really happy with Perfect Smile, but had to change because getting there with a wheelchair was a nightmare.

I am now with Dr Nana, and she is the most caring dentist I've ever been with. I complete over a year's work this coming Tuesday, and I mean a lot of work. She hasn't hurt me at all. I think I am very lucky to have found her. Everything is very modern as well.

Fully agree. She now has a whole team and has taken over the building on the other side of the soi. Very caring. Her English is perfect. I've just had a lot of work done with a view for dentures. The first half of the treatment is complete and I have temporary dentures. Now I have to wait some weeks for my gums to shrink before getting a permanent denture. One think I was impressed with is that when I asked if a denture can look less fake, she said she can make it anyway I want - gaps in the front teeth, crooked teeth or whatever. They would never look fake. I'll get back on that when I have the final product.
As with Dr. Pairat, family from the UK have used her with nothing but praise.

Very soon, Dr. Nana won't be available for a while. She's pregnant and expecting her first child. She was telling me her story so I'm sure she won't mind me sharing it. She's pregnant by IVF. She was able to choose the sex. She had two girls implanted and one took and the other didn't.
Quite amazing how the advances in pregnancy has evolved.

LOL - I know, she postponed one of my appointments, explaining she had to get pregnant that day  She did expand on the statement.

My wife tells me a lot of Thai women choose IVF, which I was not aware of.

As I've said above, Dr Nana was fantastic for me. I am probably the world's biggest dentist scaredy cat, and in almost a year of treatment, she barely hurt me at all - certainly was well within my low pain threshold. Lovely lady, excellent work and a surgery loaded with the latest tech. My smile has been restored after many years.

I went to the dentists at Bangkok Hospital for years and was extremely happy with this choice. Last year I went to Nana for a chipped tooth, they were recommended as providing quality service and being less expensive than Bangkok Hospital. I was not disappointed but it’s difficult to judge the relative cost of a procedure without getting an estimate at both places prior to treatment. Teeth cleaning is easier to compare and I think Nana is less expensive. I was very impressed with the English spoken by the front counter staff, they spoke as good or better than me ! Recently, because I have a membership at Be Well Medical Clinic, I had my teeth cleaned at the new dental department at Be Well. Cost was 900 baht and service was ok. But I didn’t get a good feeling about their overall service and probably won’t go back. Due to many years of grinding my teeth, I am now a candidate for a “Full Mouth Rehabilitation” to install new caps on every tooth in my mouth. Be Well gave a rough estimate of 12,000 - 15,000 per tooth, times 28 = 420,000 baht total at the high end. I will most likely get estimates from Nana and Bangkok Hospital. If the cost difference is up to 30,000 baht or so, I will probably choose Bangkok Hospital (assuming it will be more expensive) as I’m extremely impressed with their technology, staff and professionalism.
