Sudden Insect issue

Post by thecolonel »

Has anyone else suddenly got all these small(1/4 inch) creepy crawly ants in their room/house?

For me they turned up a few days ago.

I just noticed tonight that there's a lot of them out on my balcony in the dark waiting to get into my room if I was to open the door(attracted to the light?)

I don't open that door at night but I do generally have it open in the morning and maybe that's how they're getting in(not that I see them).

I've never seen this type of insect in my room before, in fact never seen any before!

Thoughts please

There must be a nest somewhere if they are ant-type insects and not swarming like termites?

It sounds like termites to me. We've been inundated all month. We always get a load of the smaller termites swarming at this time if year, and I hate them.

They certainly look like termites, but I'm no expert.
