Venous port

Post by fellwalker »

I have a venous port as veins in back of hand not suitable for chemo infusion.
Requires cleaning with heparin every 2 months. Does any one have information of where to do in Hua Hin and approximate costs. I guess the actual port needle will require replacement every time.

Suggest you go to one of the many hospitals in town and ask there.

My wife has a chemo port and she needs to go to Bangkok for a heparin flush. I think you'll find the same even though yours is not for chemo, but I'd say in Hua Hin that Bangkok Hospital or San Paolo are the only two that might. If you're brave enough to face Hua Hin Hospital queues and sometimes ridiculously uncaring nursing (Thais say the same) you could ask.
