Ooops - apologies there, a tad late on parade this week...

Allow me to stroke your ego if I may... Ahem. Ooh you are so great, so absolutely tremendous, skillful beyond measure and well, "Simply the Best" as Ms Turner would say....

Yep, those 2 "Early-Bru" Bonus Points make a difference!! :thumb:

Superbru/HHF Prediction League Table - Round 11

Parahandy still tops the league after this round, PeteC drops down a place to 3rd and takes the Wooden Spoon. Dai_L takes the Yellow Cap by quite a margin this round - good points for "lost" also ( ) who's closing ground after joining the league late on: -

As for the race (result) itself (finally  )..... Well, sh*t, sh*t, sh*tty, shit!! :banghead: :(

After some very promising results in Saturday's Qualifying, it really did seem like certain teams were catching Red BS and Crashappen..... Well that moment of wishful thinking lasted less than a lap.... FFS

A pretty disastrous start for Hamilton dropping from P1 to P4 and the rocket-ship that is the RB19 was away in the distance way over a second up on the following McLarens in under a lap (NOTE: Norris started on a new set of Softs). Crashappen takes his 7th straight win, a joint record and RB take their 12th straight, an overall record - both records very much tainted in my book but records none-the-less. Seems the new upgrade put in place has indeed added to their already significant advantage. Certainly not great news for the rest of the field and not particularly F1 in general for this season at least IMHO (but I am just a smidgen anti RB and Crashappen).

Despite the (very) poor start for LH on Race Day, the weekend has shown his class as a driver - especially in Q3 and in taking pole. Definitely a case of a driver getting more out of a car than is realistic :thumb:
Meanwhile, Perez in the other RB ploughed through the majority of the field coming up from P9 to finish in P3 behind Norris who once again had a great race. Russell moved up from P18 (after a cr@ppy Q1 session) up to P6 - another positive for Mercedes. Another mention in the "positives" would be for Ricardo in his first race back on the Grid, firstly getting out of Q1 (a first for Alpha Tauri this season) and finishing ahead of team mate Tsunoda despite being caught up in the first corner melee which ultimately took out both Alpines... Again

Anywho - RACE RESULTS: -

A Heads Up for the Belgium GP at Spa this weekend.

This weekend will include a "Sprint Race" which is taken totally separately from Sunday's main GP (NOT used as placing for the Grid).

The Grid positions will as usual be decided by qualifying, but due to the "Sprint" scheduled for Saturday, Qualifying will be on FRIDAY the 28th. As usual, to get your "Early Bru-Points" you'll need to make your picks before Qualifying.

Weekend Schedule: - [EDIT] Times Shown Are BST

I'll post results of the "Sprint" separately, but to the Qualifying and Race Grid.

Red BS.s RB19 and Crahappen are just streets ahead at the moment - MV headed Q3 with a lap time of over 0.8 secs quicker than Leclerc in 2nd..... Crazy! He will however take a 5 place Grid Penalty for using his 5th ICE of the season (4 allowed). He therefore drops to 6th, but it's not going to take a great deal of time to catch-up based on that performance  :(
Ferrari do seem to have gained some speed and Leclerc will now start from Pole with Sainz moving up to the 2nd Row with Hamilton - RB's Perez moves to the Front row, so an interesting start on the cards(?).
McLaren will not be happy with P5 and P7 though.....

Oh indeed. Strange though you didn't consider posting a number of his other "messages". His petulance and arrogance know few bounds at the best of times, but this Race Weekend was quite something even for him - I wonder if there's a "Selective Mute" for Team Radio coverage?

The RB19 is so far ahead of the rest of the field at the moment - frighteningly so really. The only "glint" for the "non-Orange Brigade" was that Lewis Hamilton nicked the "Fastest Lap Bonus" at the death <sigh>.... There also was some great racing behind the RB's - F1 is NOT DEAD!!

I think the Spa circuit increased Red BS' advantage, it also played to some other teams' strengths and highlighted some weaknesses. Forgetting RB for the moment, Ferrari showed some great straight line speed as did Williams, the latter however dropped way back on the remainder of the track - certainly positives for Ferrari with Leclerc coming in for a Podium and P3 finish :thumb:

Things looking a bit more positive for Aston Martin - and Alonso on his Birthday Weekend after some troubling results - P5 and P9 perhaps better than expected.

McLaren? Oh dear, what is happening? A disastrous start - Piastri out of the race (and ultimately taking Sainz with him) after a collision at the first corner! :banghead: Norris was simply nowhere on speed initially - tyre selection/setup?

A change in the Top 3 with BigBoy taking the Yellow Cap this round with his "cunning selection" He moves up to 2nd at my expense  :banghead: and closes the gap even further on League Leader "parahandy" to just a single point.

F1 now goes to it's "Summer Break" until the next GP - Crashappen's "home circuit" - The Dutch GP over the weekend of 25-27th August....
